The South African HorrorFest is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year from 29 October to 7 November 2014, and the first round of feature film selections has been revealed. Short films will follow later plus more feature film reveals.
The first batch of selections includes:
- HALLOWEEN (35th anniversary special re-mastered re-release of John Carpenter’s classic 1979 slasher)
- THE CABINET OF DR. CALIGARI (this legendary 1920 silent film will be screened with a new soundtrack performed live by THE MAKABRA ENSEMBLE)
- QUEEN OF BLOOD (vampire sequel to Fangoria editor Chris Alexander’s Blood for Irina)
- NYMPH (an ancient bloodthirsty mermaid emerges near an idyllic Mediterranean coastal town)
- ANOTHER WORLD (zombie-action movie from Israel)
- PERNICIOUS (a trio of cute tourists in Thailand fall under the spell of a murdered child entity bent on revenge)
- THE ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW (audience participation screening of this cult classic)
