Nowadays it is difficult to get excited when a film has a header letting you know it is being brought to ya by the Executive Producers of The Ring and The Grudge. Anything that bears a brand like that from now on should be relabeled “The Newest Contestant for the ‘Original Was Better’ Prize“.
Oh yeah, and “>Shutter (review) is coming out on DVD July 15th according to DVD Active. No special features have been announced, but it will be premiering in Unrated, Rated and Blu-Ray versions. Sorry, no free copy of Spirit Photography Magazine for you.
Masayuki Ochiai directs as Joshua Jackson and Rachael Taylor deal with a ghost who is invading not only their photos but their flesh and blood life as well.
