The plan is to begin by focusing on “>Art of the Devil II (review), which follows a group of high school kids (ugh) on holiday who fall under the spell of supernatural tattoos. The series is best known for its over-the-top gore, which hopefully is a fact not lost to CP Productions.
CP, you may recall, recently signed a $100 million production financing deal with Ghostrider Entertainment, which is where the funding for the Art of the Devil redux will likely be coming from. The most recent Art of the Devil film opened at the number one spot in Thailand, which I’m sure was no small factor when CP were looking into the acquisition.
