This tidbit of information comes from the Confidenti@l gossip column of the New York Daily News so no telling how concrete it is, but according to the site Wesley Snipes is set to reprise his lead role in a new installment of Blade for $7 million plus a cut of the profits.
The likelihood of the project getting the green light is “looking good” according to sources close to the actor.
Not a lot to go on, but we’ll keep our eyes and ears open for more as it comes.
The three Blade films released thus far (Blade, Blade II, Blade: Trinity) are based on the fictional Marvel Comics character of the same name. They were written by David S. Goyer, Marv Wolfman, and Gene Colan and directed by Stephen Norrington, Guillermo del Toro, and Goyer respectively, and distributed by New Line Cinema. Per Wikipedia, their combined worldwide gross was over $400 million.
