New Clip Shows Tender Side of Dawn of the Planet of the Apes

Most of the clips we’ve seen thus far from Dawn of the Planet of the Apes have centered on the glorious gun-toting action, but today we take a breather from all that to explore the film’s softer side, courtesy of a brand spankin’ new clip. Check it out, and make sure you’ve got tissues handy!

Look for the film in theatres on July 11th, 2014. Dawn of the Planet of the Apes stars Andy Serkis, Jason Clarke, Gary Oldman, Keri Russell, Toby Kebbell, Kodi Smith-Mcphee, Enrique Muriciano, and Kirk Acevedo. James Franco has a minor cameo.

Synopsis
A growing nation of genetically evolved apes led by Caesar is threatened by a band of human survivors of the devastating virus unleashed a decade earlier. They reach a fragile peace, but it proves short-lived, as both sides are brought to the brink of a war that will determine who will emerge as Earth’s dominant species.
