Daily Variety reports that Filmax has nabbed all the rights outside of Spain for Tinieblas Gonzalez’ Underground (aka ASD) which, coincidentally, is about that last example. A group of taggers decide to get to work decorating a new subway system and while on the run from the police, stumble upon a half-human creature below ground that has a taste for flesh.
Gonzalez, whose first name translates to “Shadows” apparently, is well-known in Spain for his shorts (films, not clothing) and Underground serves as his latest feature offering. Written by Backwoods penner/director Koldo Serra along with Gonzalez and Txabier Alastruey, Underground was shot in English so expect to see it on our shores sooner rather than later.
