“Grimm” is no stranger to adapting lore from around the world with stories from Japan, Haiti, and Germany influencing the storytelling of the hit drama series. Last season they borrowed from one of Latin America’s most infamous urban legends, “La Llorona,” for a well-received Halloween episode with guest star Kate del Castillo.
This Friday, November 29th, “Grimm” returns with a new episode inspired by another Latin American urban legend, “El Cucuy,” which centers on a mysterious vigilante taking things into his own hands to clean up the neighborhood. Just like in “La Llorona,” portions of the dialogue will be in Spanish in scenes featuring Bitsie Tulloch (Juliette) and Bertila Damas, who returns as Pilar. Manny Montana (USA Network’s “Graceland”) also guest stars in the episode.
