According to Variety Chris Pratt (pictured; “Parks and Recreation”) is in early talks to star in Universal’s Jurassic World. Pratt would take on the role originally intended for Josh Brolin. Discussions are very preliminary, as scheduling and salary discussions, which were the original deal breakers for Brolin, have not been discussed yet.
Bryce Dallas Howard, Ty Simpkins and Nick Robinson are also in talks to star. Colin Trevorrow (Safety Not Guaranteed) penned the script with Derek Connolly and will direct the sci-fi adventure movie. Plot details are being kept under wraps, but it is known that Robinson would play Simpkins’ older brother in the pic.
Steven Spielberg, Frank Marshall and Pat Crowley will produce Jurassic World, which is set to begin filming in early 2014. The dinosaur reboot will hit theaters June 12, 2015.
