In a frank and entertaining interview, Eli chats with Larry about how his parents encouraged his passions early in his childhood, recalls The Wizard of Oz and its flying monkeys as one of the first film experiences where he truly felt scared, and even gives Larry some tips for spooking his boys. He mentions that he likes to sit in the front during his movies to watch the audience react.
Roth tells Larry how the themes in horror films are a reflection of the American public’s fears and feelings about the government (Hostel was political allegory for the Bush, Cheney, and Rumsfeld years) and also answers social media questions directly from his fans.
As for the other “Masters” sitting down with Larry, there are clips available with Rob Zombie. Just visit “Larry King Now” on Hulu and “Larry King Now” on ora.tv.
