Case in point: composer Alan Howarth appeared at Los Angeles’ Beyond Fest last night, where a 35mm print of John Carpenter’s Assault on Precinct 13 was screened. Though you unfortunately had to be there to experience that aspect of the night, you’re not going to have to leave your computer chair or even put on pants to enjoy the magic that happened after it.
Howarth came on stage and played tracks from many of the Carpenter films he has worked on, including Halloween 2 and Escape from New York. Our friends over at Shock Till You Drop were in attendance and they managed to film a couple snippets of the live performance, which are embedded below for your listening pleasure!
