As per Deadline, Alanna Masterson has signed on for a recurring role in the fourth season, with an option to become a regular in Season 5. Though there’s been no word yet on whom she will be playing, there are rumors that her character might be Tara Chalmers, who appeared in the comic series but hasn’t yet been seen on the show. For now, a rumor is all that is.
Whatever character she’s going to be playing, Masterson will be joining the gang midway through Season 4.
In the highly anticipated new season, we find Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) and the group fostering a thriving community in the safe haven of the prison. Sadly, in this brutal world, happiness is short-lived and walkers and outside threats are no match for danger brewing inside the fences. The group’s home and new way of life will be thoroughly tested, and their struggle to survive has never been so perilous. Season 4 also introduces several new characters including Bob Stookey (Lawrence Gilliard, Jr.; “The Wire”) and Rosita Espinosa (Christian Serratos; Twilight).
