Oh great, another generic zombie movie? Well, not exactly… This Halloween season will see the release of an experience called The Hunting, a horror movie that was completely shot on an iPhone by best-selling app developer Allan Plenderleith.

But The Hunting isn’t just an ordinary horror movie, oh no. It’s also an app, an app that puts you right in the heart of the action, fighting for survival against a horde of flesh-hungry zombies. Yes, YOU!

We’re still not sure exactly how it works, but apparently you control the action with your iPhone, and your survival or death is completely dependent on your actions, making this a unique undead experience the likes of which we’ve never seen. The sub-genre has needed a shot in the arm for quite some time now, and who knows? The Hunting just might end up being that shot we need!

Written and directed by Allan Plenderleith, The Hunting stars Simon Sparks and Chloe Partridge and was produced by Wotsamaflip Studios. It’s headed our way in November of this year, and you can learn more over on The Hunting‘s Facebook page. Our interest is piqued, to say the least!

Synopsis
You awaken one morning to a disturbing sound downstairs. Something is in your house. What do you do? Your mobile phone is ringing in the kitchen. You investigate. A figure stands in the kitchen. Suddenly it lunges, attacking, biting, fighting. You fight it off, grab your phone, and try to escape. But every decision is crucial, and you can’t think straight with the sound of your own heartbeat pounding in your skull. You make it out alive; your girlfriend has called. Unable to get through to her, you listen to her message. She is being attacked. She’s near the farmhouse. You have to help her. NOW!
