The Wolf Among Us Teaser Is Howling Good Fun

Yeah, I said it. Since E3, there’s been a length of conspicuous silence from Telltale Games about their upcoming episodic survival horror game The Wolf Among Us but (FINALLY) now we have a wee smackerel of lovin’ in the form of a teaser for “Episode One: Faith”.

If you need a refresher, we’ll get that out of the way first:

Set before occurrences in the first issue of the FABLES comic book, you are Bigby Wolf (a.k.a. The Artist Formerly Known As The Big Bad Wolf), who (after being exiled from the land of fairy tales), becomes sheriff of a secret community in NYC and hilariously enough, Snow White is his boss. Along with dealing with keeping the peace in this hidden society filled with mythical creatures and characters, Wolf must make sure the “normal world” NEVER knows about (or finds) this place…but with guys like one of The Three Little Pigs who chain-smokes like a mo’facka and a twitchy Mr Toad who LOVES boosting cars.

Now that THAT’S out of the way, wanna lick?

BUT WAIT! THAT’S NOT ALL!

The Wolf Among Us will make an appearance in Seattle this August 30th to September 2nd for PAX Prime that players will see for the first time, which means there could be a playable demo.

If I were going, I’d have a “Werewolf mix tape” (okay, so it’d just be Warren Zevon’s “Werewolves Of London” on repeat on iTunes) to listen to while trying out this masterpiece but since I WON’T be at PAX Prime, I’ll patiently bide my time until it pops on XBLA, PSN and PC/Mac later this year.
