Thanks to this week’s Entertainment Weekly, this flick has finally hit our radar, and we have their still along with another and even the red band trailer that was released quietly a couple of weeks ago. Coming at us from Lionsgate and director Paul Middleditch is Rapture-Palooza starring Craig Robinson, Anna Kendrick, John Francis Daley, and Thomas Lennon.
The film is best described as Zombieland meets The Big Lebowski, and that alone has us all over this bad boy. In the flick a couple battle their way through a religious apocalypse on a mission to defeat the Antichrist. Yep, we are so there. Look for Rapture-Palooza in theatres on June 7th and on demand the same day.
Synopsis
A young Seattle couple, Lindsey and Ben House (Kendrick and Daley), get left behind when a billion others are raptured to Heaven. In between the bloody rain showers and plagues of talking locusts which soon become customary, the duo have to ward off the Antichrist (Robinson), who hopes to marry Lindsey. To prep for their end-times showdown, the couple assemble a ragtag army of undead fighters including their lawn-mowing zombie neighbor (Lennon).
