Yep, most of us are still trying to figure out just what the hell went wrong with the last flick in the Ghost Rider franchise, Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance, and even though it was pretty terrible, it probably won’t stop Hollywood from making another. But…

Collider caught up with Nicolas Cage doing press for The Croods, and the actor had some pretty interesting things to say regarding the possibility of a third film.

It’s possible, but it won’t be with me,” said Cage. “I’ve said what I have to say. I don’t want to say never…anything’s possible. But I doubt, highly, that I would be in a third installment of that.”

To date Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance has raked in over $132 million before home video sales, and it only cost $47 million to make. That makes for prime sequel territory, kids. Would you check out a third film without Cage? Lord knows we would!
