Joining Spiders and Big Ass Spider is now The Giant Spider – an indie sliver of retro goodness in the vein of the old black and white classic Tarantula, which featured – you guessed it – a super-sized arachnid of deadly proportions.

The film from writer/director Christopher R. Mihm stars Daniel R. Sjerven, Shannon McDonough, Mark Haider, Mike Cook, Jim Norgard, and Billie Jo Konze. Look for it later this year, possibly even as early as May.

Synopsis
When radiation left behind by atomic weapons testing creates a gigantic killer mutant arachnid, it’s up to a trio of scientists (Mike Cook, Billie Jo Konze, and James Norgard), an Army general (Mark Haider), and a newspaper reporter (Daniel R. Sjerven) and his fiancée (Shannon McDonough) to figure out how to stop the hungry beast from devouring the entire county in writer/director Christopher R. Mihm’s ode to the giant bug films of yesteryear!
