I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: We love shark-themed horror movies over here at Dread Central. But we’re not the only ones. Bestselling author and certified national treasure Stephen King has a soft-spot for shark-themed horror as well, apparently. He took to Twitter earlier today with his pitch:
“I could use another SHARKNADO movie. I’m thinking SHARKNADO: THE VATICAN Or, continuing the religious subtext: SHARKNADO EXORCISM.”
We have to wonder if King’s desire to mesh shark-horror and religious-horror tropes has something to do with the trailer for Noah’s Shark that we shared earlier this week? Or perhaps someone reminded him of the existence of Shark Exorcist, released back in 2015. Check out the trailer and synopsis for both movies below.
Synopsis:
A fame-seeking televangelist and his film crew team set out to find the fabled Noah’s Ark, but discover it is guarded by both an ancient curse and a prehistoric great white shark.
Synopsis:
A demonic nun unleashes holy hell when she summons the devil to possess a great white shark.
