The news that Synapse Films is going to release Lamberto Bava’s cult Italian splatterfest Demons to Blu-ray sometime in 2013 is probably no big deal for our British readers since they have both Demons movies on Blu-ray, but for American fans, no more pricey import copies!

Come to think of it, probably a few US readers are irked right now because they did spend a few extra bucks importing the Demons/Demons 2 double feature Blu-ray set that was released in the UK in April of last year. Double dip, perhaps?

Synapse Films has yet to confirm any further details regarding this Blu-ray release of the 1985 Lamberto Bava-directed, Dario Argento-produced, hard rocking horror gorefest about a group of people trapped in a large West Berlin movie theater infected by ravenous demons who proceed to kill and posses the humans one-by-one, thereby multiplying their numbers. We’ll be sure to pass along the release date, tech specs, and disc extras when Synapse announces the gory details.
