The Girl on the Tain and The Help director Tate Taylor’s Ma with Octavia Spencer is a fun flick. And today the director says he has a killer idea for a sequel.

He tells EW: “I don’t think we thought Ma was going to have this afterlife as this cult thing, and I think it’s worth discussing [a sequel]. I know Octavia would do it, that’s why I purposely left her death ambiguous! My idea is that she’s moved to another town, and she has open houses in another city and kills people in the open house. I think she’d be a real estate agent in the Pacific Northwest, and just murder white people looking at McMansions. That’s as far as I’ve gotten!”

Oscar-winner Octavia Spencer starred in Ma as Sue Ann. She’s a loner who keeps to herself in her quiet Ohio town. One day, Maggie, a new teenager in town (Glass), asks her to buy some booze for her and her friends, and Sue Ann sees the chance to make some unsuspecting if younger, friends of her own. She offers the kids the chance to avoid drinking and driving by hanging out in the basement of her home. But there are some house rules: One of the kids has to stay sober. Don’t curse. Never go upstairs. And call her “Ma.” But as Ma’s hospitality starts to curdle into obsession, what began as a teenage dream turns into a terrorizing nightmare, and Ma’s place goes from the best place in town to the worst place on earth.

Tate Taylor directed the flick from a screenplay penned by Scotty Landes. In addition to Spencer, the film also stars Juliette Lewis (August: Osage County) as Maggie’s mom, Luke Evans (Beauty and the Beast) as a local dad, Missi Pyle (Director’s Cut) as his girlfriend, and McKaley Miller (TV’s Hart of Dixie), Corey Fogelmanis (TV’s Girl Meets World), Gianni Paolo (TV’s Power) and Dante Brown (Lethal Weapon TV series) as Maggie’s friends.
