The last time we saw Monster Hunter star Milla Jovovich slaughter zombies on the big screen was in Resident Evil: The Final Chapter in 2016. But today the actress confirms she would always love to return to the franchise.

Jovovich tells ComicBook.com. “Resident Evil is such a huge part of my life, on so many different levels. I was such a big fan of the game. That’s what made me want to be in the movie to begin with. So, I would always love to go back to the Resident Evil universe. I think it’s such a fun place to be in, and it’s such a great reality. And, listen, I spent half of my career in that world. I would love to be a part of it again.”

Jovovich or not, the franchise sure isn’t dead. Not only do we have a new movie in development, but Netflix is bringing us a live-action and an animated series soon.

Resident Evil: The Final Chapter found Alice (Jovovich) on a last-chance mission to storm the Umbrella headquarters located deep underneath what used to be Raccoon City. But the Red Queen (Ever Anderson) knows that Alice is coming, and the final battle will determine if the rest of mankind lives or dies.

The film sports a 37% approval rating over on Rotten Tomatoes. The Critics Consensus reads: Resident Evil: The Final Chapter may prove mind-numbingly chaotic for the unconverted, but for fans of the venerable franchise, it offers a fittingly kinetic conclusion to its violent post-apocalyptic saga.
