Hardware director Richard Stanely’s adaptation of H.P. Lovecraft’s Color Out of Space with Nicolas Cage is now available on limited edition, fully-functional VHS via Broke Horror Fan.
It arrives on VHS in a black clamshell case with art by Matt Taylor, limited to 100 tapes.
Officially licensed from RLJE Films and approved by SpectreVision, each tape includes extras, which will be announced at a later date. For optimal VHS viewing, the film has been cropped from its original aspect ratio to 4:3 full frame. This title is available in the US only. Limit 1 per customer.

The film begins after a meteorite lands in the front yard of Nathan Gardner’s farm and his family find themselves battling a mutant extraterrestrial organism that infects their minds and bodies, transforming their quiet rural life into a technicolor nightmare.
Cage’s co-stars include Joely Richardson, Madeleine Arthur, Brendan Meyer, Julian Hilliard, Elliot Knight, Josh C. Waller, Q’orianka Kilcher, and Tommy Chong.
The film sports an 85% approval rating over on Rotten Tomatoes with a Critics Consensus that reads: A welcome return for director Richard Stanley, Color Out of Space mixes tart B-movie pulp with visually alluring Lovecraftian horror and a dash of gonzo Nicolas Cage.
