The film festival portion of the South by Southwest (SXSW) Film Conference and Festival is a wrap, and while horror films were scattered among a few different categories, the only one in which the genre took home the gold was Midnighters. Read on to see who won.

Writer/director Ciaran Foy’s Citadel won the Midnighters Audience Award for best feature while the best short film went to co-writers and directors Rebecca Sloan and Joseph Pelling’s Don’t Hug Me I’m Scared.

Citadel stars Anuerin Barnard, James Cosmo, Wumni Mosaku, Jake Wilson, and Amy Shiels and tells the tale of an agoraphobic father who teams up with a renegade priest to save his daughter from the clutches of a gang of twisted feral children.

As for Don’t Hug Me I’m Scared, here’s its SXSW synopsis

Take:
A pinch of inspiration
A handful of joy
2 spoonfuls of courage
3/8 of a litre of desire
A splash of pride
3 heaped tablespoons of laughter
A kg of saltwater
A cup of going the distance
You’ll know when it’s ready…
