From the Press Release
Co-directors John Skipp and Andrew Kasch announce their full-time filmmaking partnership with a 15-second trailer for the short bizarro horror/comedy Stay at Home Dad. With both screenplay and soundtrack by Cody Goodfellow, the insane premise “starts with a guy with giant boobs, nursing his baby and crying a lot. Then it gets weird from there.”
The jaw-dropping 15-minute film stars Matthew Currie Holmes (Wrong Turn 2), Alisha Seaton (The Fourth Kind), Trent Haaga (Terror Firmer), Richard Grove (Army of Darkness), Diane Goldner (Feast I-III), and Kat Harris (Body of Proof). Lensed by Buz “Danger” Wallick (Never Sleep Again: The Elm St. Legacy), FX legend Mark Shostrom (Evil Dead II) and his team bring the man-boobs, gore, and other surprises, with a hallucinatory dream sequence designed by Phil Mucci (Opeth’s The Devil’s Orchard) and stop-motion animator Michael Granberry (Robot Chicken).
It’s a family affair for modern Lovecraft pioneer and frequent Skipp collaborator Goodfellow (Spore, Jake’s Wake), whose wife, Tori English, produced; and their daughter, Madeline, also stars as the baby in question.
But for bestselling-novelist-turned-filmmaker Skipp (The Light at the End, Rose: The Bizarro Zombie Musical) and award-winning filmmaker Kasch (Thirsty, Never Sleep Again: The Elm St. Legacy), it’s the beginning of a multi-picture onslaught. More details soon.
Stay at Home Dad will premiere at the World Horror Convention in Salt Lake City, Utah, March 29-April 1, along with Skipp’s Rose short, Fetching Danny.
