21st Century Master of Horror Mike Flanagan is heading up to Vancouver this week. His mission is twofold: To complete production of The Haunting of Hill House Season 2 (The Haunting of Bly Manor) and to begin work on Midnight Mass, a horror series for Netflix first announced last summer. Flanagan teased followers on Twitter:
Last July, Deadline reported that Netflix had ordered the horror series Midnight Mass:
“The seven-episode Midnight Mass follows an isolated island community that experiences miraculous events — and frightening omens — after the arrival of a charismatic, mysterious young priest. Flanagan will direct and serve as an executive producer alongside (Trevor) Macy. The project has no relation to the Midnight, Mass Vertigo comics.”
