Born on this day in 1985: Alison Pill
This Canadian actress got her start at age ten, despite her mother’s attempts to talk her out of it. Her biggest genre role was in American Horror Story: Cult, the anthology show’s seventh season. In it, she played Ivy Mayfield-Richards, a restauranteur whose rocky marriage gets worse after the 2016 presidential election.
Pill also starred in Cooties, a horror comedy about an elementary school that falls victim to a virus spread in chicken nuggets. These infected nuggets turn the kids into violent, crazed cannibals.
