We’ve got some new images of Joaquin Phoenix as Joker in the upcoming origin story directed by Todd Phillips, which came our way via Total Film. Give them a look-see below, followed by the film’s synopsis and trailer.
Synopsis:
Failed comedian Arthur Fleck encounters violent thugs while wandering the streets of Gotham City dressed as a clown. Disregarded by society, Fleck begins a slow descent into madness as he transforms into the criminal mastermind known as the Joker.
In addition to Phoenix, Joker stars Robert De Niro and Zazie Beetz; look for it in US theaters beginning October 4th.
