Hallelujah! Another superhero movie with balls!

We got word over the weekend that Todd Phillips’ Joker, an origin story for Gotham City’s crown price of pandemonium, will be rated R. The news comes straight from the horse’s mouth when Phillips responded to a fan inquiry on Instagram:

“It will be rated R. I’ve been asked this a lot. Just assumed people knew. Sorry.”

No need to apologize to us, Mr. Phillips, but legions of pre-adult DC comics fans probably won’t be pleased!
