We’re just a month away from the January 19th start of the 2012 Sundance Film Festival, and another horror film has been added to the Park City at Midnight category: the highly anticipated John Dies at the End, written and directed by genre legend Don Coscarelli based on David Wong’s novel.

The film stars Angus Scrimm, Paul Giamatti, Clancy Brown, Doug Jones, Chase Williamson, Rob Mayes, Glynn Turman, and Daniel Roebuck.

Synopsis
It’s a drug that promises an out-of-body experience with each hit. On the street they call it Soy Sauce, and users drift across time and dimensions. But some who come back are no longer human. Suddenly a silent otherworldly invasion is under way, and mankind needs a hero. What it gets instead is John and David, a pair of college dropouts who can barely hold down jobs. Can these two stop the oncoming horror in time to save humanity? No. No, they can’t.

Sundance runs January 19 through 29 in Park City, Salt Lake City, Ogden, and Sundance, Utah. Keep your eyes on the official 2012 Sundance Film Festival website for more info.
