When Trembles sent over this week’s Motion Picture Purgatory for Main Attraction, we had no idea what it was. Turns out that it’s a horror/western short film written and directed by occasional Rue Morgue contributor Mario DeGiglio-Bellemare that our own Evil Andy worked on as a special makeup effects artist. Saying our interest was piqued is an understatement. Read on to see what Rick has to say about the flick!

Synopsis:
In a bid to protect themselves from eviction, Mario the Magician (Lynne Trépanier) and his troupe of ‘freaks’ stage a Death and Resurrection performance at “The Blood Shed: Montreal’s Only Grand-Guignol and Freak Show,” in which Mario uses his powers to cast a spell on the condo-reality they are facing. Glenda the Bearded Lady (Glenn Gear), Carrefour the Zombie (Paul McCann), Alonzo the Strong Man (Rick Garland), Galatea the Living Doll (Carole Anne Marko), and a bevy of burlesque dancers all get in on the act. But can magic change the world? Heidi Leigh and Richard Gatkowski co-star as Carmilla and H.G. Black

Don’t call me Blood-Boy anymore!
