“I’ve offered $1 million to Amanda Knox for the rights to her story,” Verdi said. “If she’s innocent, let’s prove it to the world.” Amanda Knox is, of course, the American student who was incarcerated for the last four years in Italy, accused of a brutal murder.
Verdi made a splash at Rock and Shock as the producer of Inkubus, which wowed the audience. First-time director Glenn Ciano does an outstanding job helming the project, which includes such big-name actors as Englund, William Forsythe, Jonathan Silverman and (the incredibly talented) Joey Fatone. (Laugh now, but when you see Inkubus, you’ll have a whole new respect for Fatone!)
No word has been returned yet from the Knox camp, but Verdi is hoping to put her story together and add it to his quickly growing producer credits, which, aside from Inkubus, include Paz, about boxer Vinny Pazienza, who came back from a broken neck, and potentially an Inkubus prequel.
