Out of Fantaspoa, the genre film festival held in Brazil, comes the news that Cinestate has acquired director Kapel Furman’s horror/action film Skull – The Mask for release on its recently announced Fangoria Presents label.

The feature film is an action-packed horror flick depicting a supernatural serial killer based on pre-Colombian mythology in a hunt for revenge in the metropolis of São Paulo.

Cinestate’s Dallas Sonnier explains, “When [Festival Director João Fleck] calls me with an opportunity to make something this scary, and in a language I do not speak, how can I say no? But in all seriousness, we’ve been extremely impressed with the Fantaspoa team, and thrilled to be able to support their expansion into film markets and co-productions.

We’ll keep an eye on this as it sounds like quite the exciting film!
