Pour some coffee, slice up some cherry pie, and join me in a happy dance. Thanks to forum member Tobe Romero for pointing me in the direction of DVD Active, where I learned that at long last my (and many others’) prayers have finally been answered.
Sure, it was nice when Season 2 of the “Twin Peaks” TV series (review) was finally released, but deep down I’ve kept harboring the hope that one day we’d get a nice juicy box set. And on October 30th, thanks to Paramount Home Entertainment, that’s exactly what we’ll see. The set will be comprised of ten DVDs with a boatload of extras:
Both versions of the pilot episode (including the international version)
Log Lady introductions for each episode
Deleted scenes
The 4-part Secrets from Another Place: Creating “Twin Peaks” documentary
A Slice of Lynch retrospective roundtable discussion video
Return to “Twin Peaks” featurette
TV spots
Image galleries
Georgia Coffee commercials
Julee Cruise’s “Falling” music video
Interactive maps
Kyle MacLachlan’s monologue and “Twin Peaks” sketch from “Saturday Night Live”
Well, I guess it was worth the wait! Ony 84 more days to go!
