One of the most talked-about movies that has been making its way through the film festival circuit is Ryan Prows’ Lowlife. A combination of stories from an addict, an ex-con, and a luchador, the film’s Tarantino-esque presentation is energetic, chaotic, bizarre, and delightfully outlandish. To keep a constant thread throughout, Prows enlisted the musical abilities of composer Pepijn Caudron, aka Kreng (Camino, Cooties, “Monster!”).
Today, we want to give you a taste of the intensity that Kreng’s music brings to the film by premiering the title track, “Lowlife”. Pulsating with barely contained rage and bristling with ferocity, the song is like a powder keg that is mere inches away from a struck match, the anticipation of explosive violence thick and palpable.
