Last week the Rotten one over at Shock Till You Drop posted a story about Scott Derrickson’s untitled found footage film claiming that the title would be Sinister. Today the official word has come – They nailed it!

According to Variety French distributor Wild Bunch Distribution has acquired the French rights to the latest Jason Blum production, Sinister, with Scott Derrickson at the helm.

Summit Entertainment will be handling the domestic distro here in the States.

From a script by Derrickson and C. Robert Cargill, “Ethan Hawke plays a journalist who travels with his family around the country to investigate gruesome murders he turns into books. After he moves his family into a house where another family was murdered, the journo discovers found footage that unveils horrifying clues beyond what caused the original tragedy.”
