Since this is the week that Guillermo del Toro’s Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark (review here) will be offering up scares on the big screen, we figured that now would be a good time to kick off our video interview series with the various talents from the flick.

Guillermo del Toro believed the original 1973 telefilm to be the scariest TV production ever made, and that’s what convinced him to co-write and co-produce this re-imagining of Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark. The film stars Guy Pearce, Katie Holmes and Bailee Madison with Troy Nixey directing. Film District and Miramax provide U.S. distribution.

Like Pan’s Labyrinth, Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark focuses on a young girl’s struggle against menacing and terrifying forces.

Have you looked through our monster-sized image gallery yet?

Look for it in theatres on August 26th

Today we bring you little Bailee Madison telling us more about her role as Sally, who is being menaced by the tiny monsters.
