Opening in South Korea on September 7, the trailer for the serial killer movie Memoir of a Murderer looks just about as intense and disturbing as you’d expect.
Sol Kyung-gu stars as an ageing serial killer suffering from Alzheimer’s disease, who struggles to hold on to his fading memory as he is forced to protect his adoptive daughter, who has become the target of another serial killer. So we’re basically getting a film about a killer going up against another killer, with catastrophic results.
Memoir of a Murderer was based on a novel by Kim Young-ha and also stars Kim Nam-gil, Kim Seol-hyun, Oh Dal-su, and Hwang Seok-jeong. Director Won Shin-yun’s previous horror films include Scary Hair, A Bloody Aria, and Seven Days.
