Remembering George A. Romero by Doug Jones

Though I never worked with him directly, George Romero influenced many directors I’ve worked with over the years, including my dear Guillermo del Toro.

While filming the Pale Man scene in Pan’s Labyrinth, I did my first take loose-jointed and gangly before Guillermo yelled, “Cut!! … No Dougie, more like a George Romero zombie!

George’s work set a genre standard that all others are continued to be inspired by.
