Remembering George A. Romero by Tom Holland

I first met George in Sitges, Spain in 1985. I was premiering Fright Night and he was there with Dawn of the Dead. He wasn’t an icon then, but a guy from Pittsburgh who’d done a brilliant no-budget film.

We drank beer that night and talked horror. He was fiercely independent and good company. What more can be said of any man (or woman).
