With Cannes speeding at us like a freight train filled with goodies, super genius Lloyd Kaufman and his Troma team have unveiled some kick ass new sales art for both Father’s Day and the big daddy of them all, The Toxic Avenger 5: Toxic Twins. Dig it!
Father’s Day, written and directed by Astron-6 (yes, that’s right – Astron-6) and starring Adam Brooks, Mackenzie Murdock, Matt Kennedy, Conor Sweeney, Amy Groening, Meredith Sweeney, Garrett Hnatiuk, and Ross McMillan.
Details are still on the scant side regarding The Toxic Avenger 5: Toxic Twins but obviously it follows everyone’s favorite super hero from New Jersey into fatherhood.
Kaufman’s last turn in the director’s chair for a feature was the 2006 production Poultrygeist, a film that was plagued with financial and production problems, and one that threatened to actually close the doors at Troma. But, with Toxic Avenger being remade by Akiva Goldsman and Charles Kaufman’s Mother’s Day being remade by Brett Ratner and Darren Lynn Bousman, interest has returned to the series that started it all, and breathed new life into the company. Upcoming productions also include Mr. Bricks: A Heavy Metal Murder Musical.
