I’m not complaining that Super 8 is being kept purposefully vague. I’d rather that than know the whole story well before checking it out in theaters. Nevertheless, Paramount has released a duo of images today that don’t really shed any more light on this mysterious flick.
Super 8 stars Elle Fanning, Kyle Chandler, Ron Eldard, Noah Emmerich, Gabriel Basson, Joel Courtney, Ryan Lee, Zach Mills, and Amanda Michalka.

Synopsis
In the summer of 1979, a group of friends in a small Ohio town witness catastrophic train crash while making a super 8 movie and soon suspect that it was not an accident. Shortly after, unusual disappearances and inexplicable events begin to take place in town, and the local Deputy tries to uncover the truth – something more terrifying than any of them could have imagined.
