IFC Nabs Last Winter

IFC Entertainment has announced that they’ve acquired all the North American rights to Larry (Habit, Wendigo) Fessenden’s latest horror head fuck, The Last Winter, which they will release in an interesting way this fall.

The film will be under the IFC First Take banner, which will see the film come out both in theaters and through VOD in mid-September. Which means you will have the choice of seeing it theatrically (assuming you live somewhere cool enough to carry it, of course) or staying home and watching it alone. By yourself. In the dark…

Basically if you have cable and have On Demand, every month IFC First Take contributes two new pics to the lineup, of which The Last Winter will be one when they have a specific date for it. Kind of a cool idea, actually; click here for more info.

The Last Winter stars Fessenden, Ron Perlman and James LeGros in a tale about an Alaskan oil-hunting team who are plagued by a malevolent force that may or may not come from their collective paranoia.
