Misteri Hantu Selula Haunts Indonesian Cell Phones

The worst part about watching a trailer like the one for Indonesian horror flick Misteri Hantu Selula is knowing there’s a high probability the movie will never make it to American shores either dubbed or subbed in English. Then again, cheese is a universal language.

24framespersecond brought the existence of this fantastically cheesy looking Indonesian horror flick titled Misteri Hantu Selula to our attention. I like to imagine the title translates to Mister Haunted Cellular because that sounds even sillier, like it should be some sort of Japanese anime series about a hyperactive detective/exorcist who busts ghosts hiding in fiber optics. The title actually translates to “Ghost Mysteries Mobile“, and as you can probably deduce, it involves a ghost in a cell phone.

Little else is know about the film other than what you see in the trailer, and I think that may be sufficient enough. If you thought the cell phone exorcism scene in the American remake of One Missed Call was a sight to behold, then just wait until you see the laughable special effects and hamtacular acting on display in this trailer.
