John Massari Talks the Origins and Influences of the Killer Klowns From Outer Space Soundtrack

I’ve written about my love of the 80’s B-sci-fi/horror film Killer Klowns From Outer Space before and, because I grew up with it, how it holds a special place in my heart. I’ve been very interested lately in composer John Massari’s quest to bring his original soundtrack from the film back to life in the form of a new recording, one done with a live orchestra rather than the synths he first used.

Recently, Massari uploaded a video where he discusses the origins of the soundtrack as well as his approach and attitude towards the film and the influences he utilized. It’s a wonderful video and a great peek into the history of one of the 80’s most recognized cult classics.
