To commemorate “Alien Day” on April 26th – as in LV-426, the planet that held the derelict spaceship with all the facehugger eggs – 20th Century Fox has announced that they will be bringing Ridley Scott’s 1979 classic sci-fi/horror film Alien to select Regal RPX Theaters. Starring Sigourney Weaver and John Hurt, the movie spawned several sequels, a couple of spin-offs, and now has a couple of prequels under its belt. Tickets for the event will go on sale tomorrow on Regal’s website.

Synopsis:
In deep space, the crew of the commercial starship Nostromo is awakened from their cryo-sleep capsules halfway through their journey home to investigate a distress call from an alien vessel. The terror begins when the crew encounters a nest of eggs inside the alien ship. An organism from inside an egg leaps out and attaches itself to one of the crew, causing him to fall into a coma. When he awakens, the terror begins and the crew must fight for their very survival.
