Remember back in 2006 there was a 3D remake of Night of the Living Dead called Night of the Living Dead 3D starring the great Sid Haig? Yeah. I know. Some of you would rather forget it, but either way we’re getting a sequel.

According to What’s Playing Dimensional Dead Productions have tapped Andrew Divoff (“Lost”, Wishmaster) as the lead in their prequel/sequel, Night of the Living Dead 3D: Resurrection.

In this upcoming 3D flick, pyrophobic mortician, Gerald Tovar (now played by Divoff instead of Haig), Jr. inherits the family mortuary and accidentally lets hundreds of uncremated bodies become exposed to toxic medical waste. As the corpses re-animate, Harold Tovar, the mortician’s inheritance-seeking younger brother expectantly shows up, stumbling upon a full outbreak of the walking dead.

Brace yourselves.
