It’s been announced that “Brooklyn” star Emory Cohen has joined the cast of Blumhouse’s upcoming thriller Sweetheart, according to Variety. Cohen joins previously announced star Kiersey Clemons. The only word that’s out about the film is that it falls under the “survival-horror” umbrella, although we’re obviously not dealing with Resident Evil here.

Sweetheart comes from Sleight director JD Dillard, who co-wrote the script with his Sleight writing partner Alex Theurer as well Alex Hyner. Dillard, Theurer, and Hyner will all produce along with Jason Blum and Bill Karesh.

Sweetheart is on the fast track to a Spring 2017 start date.
