One of the most unlikely franchises to have achieved popularity as of late is Spike Chunsoft’s Danganronpa, about a crazed robot teddy bear named Monokuma who traps a bunch of teenagers in school and forces them to kill one another for his own sadistic amusement. Did I mention that this incredibly weird series comes from Japan?

Consisting of the first game, Trigger Happy Havoc, and the sequel, Goodbye Despair, this is a great way for newcomers to become acquainted with the series ahead of the US release of the third major installment, V3: Killing Harmony, on September 26, 2017.
