Another American Horror Story Season 7 Update – No Clinton or Trump Characters

A few more juicy tidbits are slowing rolling out about the upcoming seventh season of “American Horror Story,” which is going to be set during last year’s Presidential election.  Despite previously sayingmaybe” when asked if we might see Donald Trump as a character on the show, co-creator/exec producer Ryan Murphy has clarified that remark…

During this past Friday’s Publicists Guild Awards luncheon in Beverly Hills, Murphy explained he didn’t mean that literally (blaming the slip on the booze “Watch What Happens Live” notoriously serves its guests during tapings: “They gave me three martinis in 20 minutes! That’s not good.).

“The themes of ‘American Horror Story’ have always been allegories,” he said while accepting his award for Television Showmanship of the Year. “You will not see [Donald] Trump and [Hillary] Clinton as characters on the show.”

Although, per Indiewire, he might be having second thoughts: After “The People vs. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story” star Sarah Paulson handed him the award, he joked, “Now, as I look over at Sarah Paulson, I think of Kellyanne Conway. I don’t know! I might be rewriting!”

Season 7 begins filming in June. Sarah Paulson and Evan Peters will return. Stay tuned for more as it comes!
