Girls Kidnapped at a Slumber Party Gone Wrong

We know. You’re sitting there in your panties with your friends watching scary movies or having pillow fights in slow motion, while feathers fly everywhere, before you move in, part your lips, and use your tongue to li…. ahem. Where was I? Oh yeah, the new tale of slumber party terrors, Girls.

According to Variety producer Peter Safran has set Kyle Patrick Alvarez to direct thriller Girls. Safran (Buried) will produce and finance the indie pic via his Safran Co. banner.

Girls, penned by Alvarez and Adam Shazar, brings a fresh twist to a conventional thriller in telling the story of a slumber party gone wrong after four teenage girls are terrorized by a pair of kidnappers.

When Adam and I sat down to write ‘Girls,’ we took a lot of inspiration from the ambition it took to make a movie like ‘Buried,’ so I couldn’t be more excited about getting to make a film with Peter,” Alvarez said.
