With the Prometheus sequel, Alien: Covenant, getting all the glory lately, we haven’t lost sight of the fact that Neill Blomkamp is working on a fifth Alien movie in the franchise that’s set to give the series, or at least the Ripley storyline, a far more fitting end than Alien: Resurrection did.

Know who else remembers? Star Lance Henriksen, whose character of Bishop is most beloved. During an interview with IGN Lance dropped the following on fans:

You know they’re going to make another one. It picks up right where Aliens ended. I don’t know if I’m going to be in a baggie or how I’m going to be in it. Blomkamp is a really wonderful, wonderful writer. I have a feeling that if he did it, it would be something spectacular. And there’s an audience for it.

Though the film is on “indefinite hold,” it’s been reported that Sigourney Weaver would be returning along with Michael Biehn to reprise their roles as Ellen Ripley and Corporal Dwayne Hicks.

Stay tuned.
